CRANIOFACIAL PROGRAM
Being Human partnered with Maaya Foundation to provide free treatment to children with severe facial deformities, also known as Craniofacial Deformities. These deformities are congenital and vary in type and severity. A child with craniofacial deformities has difficulty breathing, eating and with speech. In addition to this, the child faces social stigma. Through this program, we aim to reach out to children living with these deformities, across India.
As of April 2017, 130 children have been treated through this program

DROUGHT RELIEF INITIATIVE IN
MAHARASHTRA
Being Human was involved in a drought relief initiative in Maharashtra in 2013. This was the worst drought the state of Maharashtra had experienced since 1972. With many people already affected and with cattle rendered hungry without fodder, this drought was the worst kind of natural disaster that the state had faced. Almost 1/5th of Maharashtra was reeling under drought. Water in tankers were being provided by the Maharashtra government but there was an urgent requirement of tanks, for the storage of water, across the districts of Beed, Osamanabad, Jalna, Aurangabad and Nanded - districts which were most affected in Maharashtra.
Being Human–The Salman Khan Foundation procured 2500 tanks, each having a capacity of 2000 litres, and dispersed them across various villages in these 5 districts.
LITTLE HEARTS PROGRAM
Being Human launched The Little Hearts Program in 2013 to provide free treatment to underprivileged children with Congenital Heart defects. Through the program we conduct camps in remote areas that do not have any access to paediatric heart facilities. Children from all over India are operated and treated. As of March 2018, 1466 surgeries have been completed under the Little Hearts Program
MARROW DONOR REGISTRY, INDIA (MDRI)
In November 2010, Being Human partnered with MDRI to create awareness and generate voluntary donor profiles in order to create a world class stem cell registry in India. MDRI is the first NGO in India which maintains a computerized database of voluntary, unrelated stem cell donors and facilitates blood stem cell transplants for patients with life threatening blood diseases. Together with MDRI, Being Human conducts donor registration camps across various colleges in Mumbai.
At present, MDRI has 40,000 profiles.

RELIEF INITIATIVE FOR
KASHMIR FLOOD VICTIMS
In March 2015, Being Human – The Salman Khan Foundation sent 30,000 woolen blankets to areas in Kashmir which were most affected by the floods that ravaged the state of Jammu and Kashmir the previous year and rendered thousands homeless. We were given to understand that due to the severe winter, blankets were the need of the hour for those who had lost their homes. The blankets were distributed to areas in frontier districts of Baramula and Kupwara, Shopian, Ganderbal. Bandipur, Lolab Valley, Rajwar, Soyibug and Srinagar. We are grateful to the Indian army in Srinagar for helping us reach the blankets to those who needed them most.

COCHLEAR IMPLANT
Being human, in association with Dr. Chris De Souza, Supports children suffering from hearing impairment. In the past there were no surgeries to help these children, as result of which they lived their life in isolation. With the ever evolving technology however, a life changing device made called Cochlear Implant, which allows the hearing impaired to hear. Cochlear implants have changed many lives. After timely surgery, children can hear, go to a normal school, and interact with people and live a normal life. Some children who cannot undergo this implant are supported with hearing
WOMEN'S HEALTH CAMPS
Being Human has conducted women’s health camps in Muzzafarnagar (Uttarpradesh), Srinagar (Kashmir), Bhavanimandi (Rajasthan) and Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) in association with Dr Neeta Warty, Gynaecological Endoscopic and Robotic Surgeon. In the year 2016 over 700 women have benefitted from these camps.
SRINAGAR CLEFT CENTRE
Since April 2017, the Being Human Foundation in association with Inga Health Foundation, has been exclusively supporting the Srinagar Centre in its efforts to Deliver quality surgical and health care to children born with Cleft & Congenital Facial deformities.
Till date over 120 free surgeries have been support in Srinagar. All major districts Of Kashmir and Ladakh are covered in the project.
Dr.M.D Shakeel, heads the Center with the help of a dedicated staff comprising of Assistant surgeons, anesthetists, orthodontists, speech therapists and a support Staff of two field workers and an administrative personnel. The centre is situated at The New City Hospital, where they have their own exclusive ward with 12 beds and an exclusive operation theatre.
Due to the mountainous terrain, it is extremely difficult to identify and access Patients from various regions. Dedicated teams of field workers along with Dr.Shakeel conduct out reach programs in these remote regions to increase the Number of children that can gain access and treatment at the centre.
Speech therapy and orthodontics are given to patients who are in need of it at the Centre to enable them to get a comprehensive treatment.
